To be honest, I bought this lovely, little dress this past summer and haven't had the opportunity to wear it. Not being one to stick to the typical holiday looks this became my main Valentine's Day look. I love the unexpectedness of the floral option over red or pink.
The lightweight and off-the-shoulder style might be a little daring for this midwest weather, but your could always throw on a fancy black coat and/or a pair of tights. Your date night or event is most likely inside this time of year anyway. Haha For my friends living in much warmer climates, this is a perfect look for date night.
Like I said above, I try to opt for the unexpected most of the time, and this floral option is definitely unexpected in the sea of red and pink looks that flood Valentine's Day apparel. This particular dress is sexy without being overtly so. The tighter fit and bare shoulders are great for showing off that figure. Embrace those curves, girls!
Happy Valentine's Day, sweet friends! I hope it was full of love, laughter and flowers.
Sincerely,
W

Layering is key to making your clothes transition from season to season. This maxi is sleeveless and perfect for late summer early fall. To make it work for the late fall I have layered my faux leather jacket over it. I will most likely take this dress into winter too, and like I have said and keep saying, sweaters over maxis are a super cute and easy way to expand your wardrobe. For the footwear, you don't typically think of booties and maxis together, especially if you are short like I am. These particular booties work with this dress because this maxi is actually the right length for me...so hard to come by! I do love wearing over-the-knee boots with maxis too. Edgy booties and OTK boots make for a more unexpected and unique look to your outfit.
Thanks for stopping by!
Sincerely,
W

Happy first day of summer, friends! The temps are rising and summer dresses are in full bloom. Girls are pretty lucky when it comes to summer fashion. Our options are endless in the realm of light and airy dresses.
This floral slip dress is my favorite dress of the summer. I can style it with heels (like above) or I can throw on sandals for a more casual, errand running look. The side slits make this dress even more summer friendly. Hello ventilation! lol It is already super hot here in Missouri and Kansas, so we need all the breeziness we can get.
I hope you enjoyed this look, and can find something similar in your closet to make this look your own.
Thank you for visiting!
Sincerely,
W
p.s. Think light and layerable for summer jewelry. Trade in your statement necklaces for dainty pieces that are "cooler" options for those hot and sweaty summer days and nights.
