Moto and moody. I didn’t realize until Ryan and I were shooting this outfit just how "moto" it looked. A man on Harley drove past us and nearly broke his neck looking me up and down. He must have thought I was some kind of badass…too bad I'm not. haha Well, maybe I am in my own world.
This black on black look has been on solid repeat since I bought these Sorel boots! I am seriously obsessed. I'm wearing them on hikes, to work, on errands and to brunch. Everywhere really. They give every outfit a little moto edge.
Buy these boots and become an instant badass! haha I couldn't type that with a straight face.
Thanks you all so much for stopping by. I hope your holidays are off to a great start!

Peplums are super fun to wear, and easy to style. Below are the two rules I use for styling peplums.
1. If you are in the mood to wear flats with your peplum opt for paring them with skinny jeans. The voluminous top needs to be offset with the to-the-body silhouette the skinny jean offers. Remember, when styling peplums you want to elongate your body. I know I don't need to look any shorter. lol
2. If you are feeling sassy and want to wear your biggest pair of heels, I say go for a flared jean. The voluminous top paired with flares and HEELS will give the illusion of long legs, which is what all of us shorties really want anyway.
In my world, flats and skinnies equal chic put together outfits and flares and heels equal cool and confident looks. Flats and flares equal frumpy.
I hope these Trust Your Closet styling tips help you to be confident as you walk out the door. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy NEW YEAR everyone! This red poncho is taking me from fall right into winter (the same for my blanket capes and scarves). It is cozy, warm and cute! And super easy to style. I chose to pair it with leopard booties because I love me some pattern play. My everyday style typically include pattern on pattern outfits. Pattern play literally makes my day!
No Shop January Challenge: I advise you all to Trust Your Closet first and foremost, and I typically do the same, but I have had some major shopping sprees in 2015. I am kicking this year off with a shopping intervention. I have decided to dial back my shopping in 2016, and in order to do that, I have joined up with some lovely blogger babes from our Style Collective community to participate in a No Shop January Challenge. All of my posts this month [and maybe longer] will be me shopping from my own closet. I won't be making any clothing purchases this month. No if's, and's or but's about it. I am really looking forward to this challenge, and I hope you enjoy this as much as I know I am going to. I would love for you to join in on this challenge with me if you can Trust Your Closet enough...mine is a very trust worthy closet. haha
I am very excited for what 2016 has to offer, and I hope you all continue to take this journey with me. Thank you so much for stopping by and following along!
