This was one of my go-to's for the winter season. I absolutely believe in breaking the rules with your style. Navy and black DO go together. I don' care what anyone says. LOL Wear it together proudly. :) I will be taking this polka dot skirt into spring by pairing it with t-shirts and flats, as well as, tank tops and wedges.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Monday!
Sincerely,

Here is the one rule that I typically follow to create a successfully coordinated pattern play look. It is super simple. SUPER simple! Are you ready for it...coordinating colors. Red in the jacket and red in the turtleneck and done! That's all there is to it, folks. :) Well, that's if you want a coordinated pattern play look. If you want a complimentary look, well that really comes down to personal preference and your vision. I feel like that level of pattern play can't be taught. It's a gift. ;D Haha #butreally
Now let me see your coordinating pattern play looks. Share them in the comments section below, pretty please. Thanks so much for stopping by!

What to say about this outfit? I adore it! It really came together nicely. My top and skirt are oldies but goodies. This scarf doesn't get worn enough, but it really puts the cherry on top of this look.
We should all wear more square scarves. They give your outfit a truly pulled together look that has went by the wayside since the 50s and early 60s. Those women knew how to put together an outfit! We should bring back that sense of detail to dressing.
Let me know how you feel about square scarves and more pulled together looks in the comments section below. Thank so much for stopping by. I appreciate it very much. You are awesome!

To be honest, I bought this lovely, little dress this past summer and haven't had the opportunity to wear it. Not being one to stick to the typical holiday looks this became my main Valentine's Day look. I love the unexpectedness of the floral option over red or pink.
The lightweight and off-the-shoulder style might be a little daring for this midwest weather, but your could always throw on a fancy black coat and/or a pair of tights. Your date night or event is most likely inside this time of year anyway. Haha For my friends living in much warmer climates, this is a perfect look for date night.
Like I said above, I try to opt for the unexpected most of the time, and this floral option is definitely unexpected in the sea of red and pink looks that flood Valentine's Day apparel. This particular dress is sexy without being overtly so. The tighter fit and bare shoulders are great for showing off that figure. Embrace those curves, girls!
Happy Valentine's Day, sweet friends! I hope it was full of love, laughter and flowers.
Sincerely,
W
